Beach Life in Tulum

The beaches in Tulum (on the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico’s Caribbean) are legendary- long white sand beaches, turquoise water, lots of sunshine, and budget friendly beach cabanas with thatch roofs.  And importantly- a seemingly million miles away from the gringo madness of Cancun. The world slips away as beach life takes control. Swims alternate with lounging. And- vice versa. Sometimes a frosty lime soaked Sol cerveza is consumed. This is truly a slice of tropical heaven.
A swim anyone?

These cabanas have sandy concrete floors, thatch roofs, mosquito nets, electricity from 6pm-6am, and all the charm and rustic joy of a $30 a night hut.

Beach cabana anyone? Tulum's budget accomodations.
